Laser and Particle Beams Prize for Simon Groth

Simon Groth wins the Laser and Particle Beams Prize 2017 for young scientists for his contribution The Uniform Electron Gas at Warm Dense Matter conditions presented at the 37th International Workshop on High Energy Density Physics with Intense Ion and Laser Beams, Hirschegg, Kleinwalsertal, Austria. The prize is worth 2000 Euros and funds the participation at an international conference. Meanwhile Simon Groth has received an invitation to present an invited talk at the International Workshop on Warm Dense Matter (WDM 2017), in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The research of Simon Groth is performed in the Bonitz group together with Tobias Dornheim and Tim Schoof.
